Foster Advocates is a Minnesota based non-profit organization that advocates for current and former persons involved in the foster care system, or Fosters. The organization uses a three-tiered approach of relationships, research, and reform to reduce barriers between Fosters and post-secondary education.
Organize individuals with connections to child welfare systems to build power and the capacity of the foster care community.
Advocate with former foster youth and stakeholders at the county and state level to create the changes Minnesota communities need.
CONDUCT POLICY & RESEARCH
Conduct policy and research on the identified issues foster communities prioritize. Foster Advocates will be announcing their 2021 legislative priorities soon.
